We may have stories about Sisters who have changed our lives for the better… Sisters who have contributed to our education, supported our spiritual development, and perhaps provided pastoral care at critical moments in our lives. This anniversary year is an opportunity for us to share those stories and celebrate these women. As part of that celebration, we have launched a major gift campaign. We are hoping to raise a total of $10 million to be used to care for retired Sisters, safeguard their legacy of ministries, and meet capital needs. Help us raise support throughout this campaign, through the next year, and beyond.Care of Sisters Since 1874 the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown have poured themselves out in service to the local Church and the local community, with little or no compensation. With a median age of 80, they now need our help. We hope to raise $4 million to provide for care of the Sisters.Support for Ministry The ministries of the Sisters have had such an impact on thousands of families in need in our community and beyond. We want to ensure that this work continues to thrive long into the future. We hope to raise $3 million for continued and expanded ministry.Capital Needs Construction at the Motherhouse is underway to allow the Sisters to age in place and to open their home in ministry to more lay residents. Existing ministries need facility upgrades as well.
